Public Service Through the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust

Since 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges impacting African Americans and, consequently, all Americans. The Ellis County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will provide an array of impactful public service initiatives and community partnerships through our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.

Economic Development

Our Economic Development efforts are focused on increasing financial literacy, economic empowerment, and generational wealth within the community. Through workshops, seminars, mentorship opportunities, and strategic partnerships, we aim to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve financial independence, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic stability.

Educational Development

Our Educational Development programs are designed to equip learners of all ages with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed for academic success, personal growth, and lifelong learning. By integrating innovative educational practices and a commitment to excellence, we strive to create nurturing environments that inspire curiosity, cultivate leadership, and foster resilience within our communities.

International Awareness

Our International Awareness & Involvement initiatives are designed to engage individuals and communities in meaningful global conversations and service opportunities. Through educational programs, cultural exchanges, and collaborative initiatives, we seek to raise awareness of global issues, promote cross-cultural understanding, and inspire collective action that creates positive impact worldwide.

Physical and Mental Health

Our Physical & Mental Health initiatives are designed to empower individuals and families through programs, resources, and activities that promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and mental resilience. We are committed to fostering holistic well-being by creating opportunities for education, awareness, prevention, and support that strengthen both mind and body across our communities.

Social Action

The Ellis County Alumnae chapter is committed to advocacy, education, civic engagement, and community service to create positive change and address issues impacting communities locally, nationally, and globally. Through social action, Delta members work to uplift communities, influence policy, and continue the Sorority’s legacy of public service and leadership. From Voter education, civic engagement, advocacy awareness, to nonpartisan forums.
